Examples of addressing the VDS info and victim support service

“I live with my husband and our two children. Over the past two years, my husband’s behavior has changed. Every day he insults me, calling me “incompetent,” “stupid,” and saying that “I cannot survive without him.” He forbids me from seeing my friends and parents, checks my phone, and whenever I express my opinion, he interrupts me and yells at me. He threatens to take the children away from me if I ever try to leave him. A few days ago, he punched me in the shoulder so hard that I fell down, and I still have a bruise there. I have never worked because he believed that I should take care of the children and the house, while he would handle the finances. Now he uses this against me, telling me that I have no rights because I do not earn money, and he withholds money for my personal needs and basic expenses whenever he feels that I have “angered” him. I do not have access to the family finances or insight into how money is spent, and I have to justify every purchase I make. On several occasions, the children witnessed our arguments. I need information about where I can turn for help.”

At work, I am constantly the target of criticism and insults. My manager often criticizes me publicly in front of my colleagues, accuses me of mistakes I did not make, and sends me insulting emails. My colleagues further isolate me, spread rumors about me, and intentionally exclude me from important meetings and team projects, thereby sabotaging my work.Because of all this, I feel constant tension, stress, and anxiety, and I no longer see my workplace as a safe environment. I do not know whom to contact in order to protect my rights.

While I was returning home, an unknown person approached me and violently took my money and personal belongings. Although my physical injuries are minor, the entire event deeply shook me, and I feel very frightened. Since then, I have avoided streets that I used to walk through without any problems, and I constantly worry about my safety. I do not know whom I should contact to report the incident, nor where I can receive support to help me cope with the fear and regain a sense of security in my everyday life.
