The idea of searching for a “Third way” toward truth and reconciliation gathered around the Victimology Society of Serbia a group of organizations and individuals that represent various segments of society and different regions in Serbia. By their connection Association Joint Action for Truth and Reconciliation was formed, and through it’s activity we aim to develop a model of cooperation between different social groups and regions that can be considered representative for Serbia, and therefore a possible comprehensive model of dealing with the past that would be appropriate for the local social context.

Association Joint Action for Truth and Reconciliation was established on 10th June 2005. on the meeting in Belgrade in which this form of continuous activity of citizens was initiated.

Members of the Association can be organisations and individuals who work or want to work on the realization of trust and reconciliation and who accept the mission and goals of the Association.

The decision on admission, as well as the termination of membership of members who act contrary to the mission and goals of the Association is made by Coordinating Committee of the Association. Prominent experts, activists and social workers can become members of the Association by the invitation, by accepting the call from Coordinating Committee.
